Automotive Diagnostics & Systems Repair

The Automotive Diagnostics & Systems Repair Program at Harford Technical High School is a four-year course sequence for students who wish to explore the career field of automotive technician. The program is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) and provides an in-depth study of the automobile and its operating systems, including the following:

•engine repair
•engine performance
•electricity/electronics
•brakes
•cooling systems
•transmissions
•steering and suspension

The program consists of real world experiences for students that combine authentic, hands-on learning with classroom curriculum and instruction.
