Academy of Health Professions

Students who successfully complete the classroom and practical experiences within the Academy of Health Professions (ACHP) and obtain the Certified Nursing Assistant status will be eligible to begin employment in a variety of health care settings, including hospitals and immediate care centers. Students who also pass the Geriatric Nursing Exam and obtain their GNA are eligible for employment in long-term care facilities, as well. Most students choose to pursue further education in a variety of health-related fields. Students have continued their education in the health fields such as radiology, nursing, pharmacy, and emergency medicine, to name a few. Graduates of the Program overwhelmingly state that their experiences at HTHS in the Health Occupations program helped them prepare for their chosen health careers.
