IT Networking CISCO is a cyber security program offered at HTHS.
Students begin their course work with AP Computer Science Principles introducing them to the foundational concepts of the field and challenges them to explore how computing and technology can impact the world. Programming in JavaScript. Students will then study the fundamentals of computer hardware, software, virtualization, mobile devices, networking, basic security and troubleshooting. IT Essentials develops the career skills needed for entry-level IT Systems Administrator jobs. CISCO coursework also covers network architecture, structure, and functions needed to support the operations and priorities of Fortune 500 companies to small innovative retailers. You will learn to configure the Cisco IOS operating system and build simple networks. After completing this course, you will have a working knowledge of routing, switching, network applications and protocols. Security Fundamentals cover the essentials of compliance and operational security; threats and vulnerabilities; application, data, and host security; access control and identity management; cryptography; mobile device security, attacks and defenses; and virtualization. Some of our students favorite course of study is cybercrime, cyber espionage and other threats to the integrity of network. Learn the skills to qualify for an exciting and growing opportunity in security operation centers as an analyst or incident responder and help make the world a safer place. The course focuses on how to monitor, detect and respond to cybersecurity threats. Plus, covers cryptography, host-based security analysis, security monitoring, computer forensics, attack methods and incident reporting and handling.
