Harford Technical High School offers French and Spanish language courses. Courses offered are French I through French III*, and Spanish I through Spanish II. Spanish III currently is offered as an 80% online course from Florida Virtual High School and meets concurrently with a Spanish II class. Our department also offers French Club which is open to any student at HTHS who is interested in joining. We offer six sections of Spanish I and II, as well as multiple sections of Fr I and II, and one section of Fr III.

Harford County Public Schools follows a common curriculum in Canvas with teacher freedom and choice in daily activities and formative assessments based on authentic resources. Our curriculum is designed to reflect the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) "world readiness" standards for proficiency, communication, cultures, connections, comparison, and communities through a literacy-based approach.
